CROWD-LESS BOMBAY...
Before the Portuguese set their feet on Bombay's soil to rule here between 1534-1661 it was merely a group of seven islands. That was the time when camera was not even invented by us so we can not find photographs of that old period. Still camera's invention took place somewhere way back in 1816. The Kolis were the original inhabitants of those islands we can only imagine vaguely in our minds how it must have looked like then.
When one comes across old images of Bombay one wonders how badly its original beauty has been crushed by our development and population. Today, it is acknowledged as one of the most populous cities in the world.
