Paris has started an experiment, first of its kind, with driverless mini buses that speaks of new revolution of autonomous vehicles soon going to hit the roads of our world. Initially, these box like electrical vehicles are currently running on special lane connecting two railway stations with 10-12 people on board.
This revolutionary project based on new technology is going through a testing phase currently and if it turns out to be a success then we would soon see driverless buses plying around us in our cities. These buses use the combination of lasers and cameras to detect the people and the objects on the roads.
The big automakers including Kia, BMW, Volkswagen and General Motors are racing to manufacture fully self-driving cars and we would soon be buying those future cars for utility by 2020.
